Biographical Sketch of Teresa Allen

What Mystery Behooves My Soul

Books from WAC to Law

I graduated high school in Portland, Oregon and joined the Army as one of the last vestiges of the Women’s Army Corps.   Since then, I've written books, starting with The Trouble with Brass, based on my Army experience.  I now have over 20 fiction and nonfiction manuscripts and more than 20 books outlined and waiting for my time.  Most of these books draw from my travels, spiritual and scientific explorations, and my tribulations with love and life.

Now

At 45, I now live at the Yacht House B&B Inn with husband Cecil, cats and dobbes Minnie and Max (who just had 7 puppies.  See Raising the Doberman Pincher).  See also Mai Tai's Shadow:  Legacy of a Cat Prince.

Web Background

Since earning a law degree in 1994 from Arizona State University, I've designed and marketed web sites for my importing, eco-travel, and writing businesses.  I am a full hearted member of the Internet Revolution.  Currently I am developing and marketing these internet sites: writtenweb.com, writtenonline.com, arastar.org, tarot-insight.com, yachthouse.com, world-products.com and ecotravel.net

Asia

In 1982, I went to Asia, armed with a Masters Degree in English and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology.  I attended a Bengali Brahman wedding in India, then taught English at universities in China, Thailand and Kuwait.  During this time I wrote the  journals that are the base for my novel, Moonbeams in Asia:  Spiritual Journey of a Middle Child

Travel

My fascination with world cultures stems from early childhood and has swept me off to Europe, Micronesia, Israel (where I studied law for a summer), to Egypt (where I worked on Ten Years Past Cairo) and to Latin America (where I studied Spanish in Guatemala and Costa Rica and worked on Inca Dove and Guardian of the Maya Tree).

Arizona

Before moving to the Yacht House, my home was on a 20 acre ranch in Arizona.  I had three horses, a pot bellied pig and a Nubian goat along with 6 cats and a series of seven dogs.  My heart remains in the Sonora Desert.  See The Desert's Edge.

The Vegan from Vega

I have been a vegan for over ten years (though no longer as strict).  For over twenty years, I've been an amateur astronomer (as opposed to professional astrologer, which I know very little about).  However, the tarot cards are my spiritual tool.  I also have interests in the Vietnam and Civil Wars, photography (now with digital cameras as applied to websites), Shakespeare, backpacking and book writing.  I am Buddhist (for lack of a better term) and I love animals

I am looking for interest in my books.
